Lambretta is a name with a bit of a split personality. One side of this name refers to Italian classic scooters and the other is related to British clothes.
Weirdly, the second one went into an interesting collaboration with British sports car manufacturer Caterham.
This is actually quite a great idea, while Caterham products are known as great performers and are very popular with track days and circuits they are also known for being uninteresting in any way that concerns design and style. So now this nippy little track car features some restyling by this iconic British company, Lambretta Clothing.
The Caterham version chosen for this styling exercise is the Seven. The Caterham Seven is powered by a 1.6 liter Ford engine that outputs 125 horsepower and 120 lbs-ft that are mated to a short ratio five speed gearbox. The straight line performance is ok, but the handling is among the best known to man.
And now, with the addition of a special outfit and some proper accessories you can look good while feeling good in a car of sorts. The outfit consists of a special Union Jack paint scheme both on the outside and inside. The inside also features some hand-stitched seat piping, embossed Lambretta motifs and a stylish Moto-Lita steering wheel.
Thinking about getting yourself one of these typical Britannia roadsters? Well it’ll set you back around 27.000 pounds or the equivalent of $42.000.
