British Minotaur ready to slay fellow supercars

British company Vision Sportscars has unveiled a new 000 sports car. The firm was running under license from the now-defunct Pilgrim Cars, and the Minotaur is the first model from the company under Pilgrim's ex-helmsman, Tony Holmes.

Attached to it is a Renault 21 Turbo UN1 Transaxle, and a stainless-steel exhaust system that employs a bridging pipe to connect the twin pipes, apparently for purely aural reasons. The standard car also features an electrically adjustable moving pedal box, twin alloy foam filled petrol tanks and twin alloy radiators.

The Mk2 Minotaur (pronounced 'Min-o-tour') is handmade in a factory in Sussex, but its proportions were penned by a Greek designer named John Forakis. A 5.7-litre Chevrolet V8 sits behind the driver, churning out 350bhp, which should be enough to give this 1160kg sports car respectable performance.

Vision Sportscars boasts that service and parts bills should be no more than a standard family car, so we presume that there are some parts bin bits here. Recognise those headlights anyone...?

The cabin has received considerable attention, apparently designed to keep everything in reach, and employs a multifunctional screen, which can be a display for the reversing camera, a DVD player and a radio, with the option to add sat nav and a television.
