Car News: Aston Martin Rapide Shows Its Backside
The car's glass roof and dramatic fastback tail are obvious, and though the design has been slightly tweaked from the concept, it retains its show-car looks.
The powerful rear fender bulges and elegant tail lamp forms show a strong family resemblance to the current DB-series coupes with whom the Rapide also shares its chassis underpinnings.
Whatever the state of the economy may be, we're headed for a super-sedan showdown in 2009 and 2010.
The computer-generated renderings of the Aston Martin Rapide unearthed by CAR magazine in late November are joined by a rear view, giving us a 360-degree look at Aston Martin's upcoming full-size sports sedan in production trim.

The Rapide is expected to make its official debut at the 2009 Geneva show as a 2010 model...just in time to greet the Porsche Panamera and redesigned Mercedes S-Class.
