2008 Dodge ChallengerVersion Uncovered!

These are the first pictures of the 2008 Dodge Challenger production version featured without a trace of camouflage. The camera phone shots were taken during a Chrysler dealer announcement show in Las Vegas this past week. Thankfully, Dodge has remained loyal to the 2006 concept with minor differences including the adoption of a (invisible) B-pillar, revised tail-lights, slightly redesigned rear bumper that�s about an inch longer in order to comply with safety regulations and the addition of a boot spoiler for the SRT8 version. According to the guys that posted the camera phone images on �Ontario Street Car� and we have on reason not to believe them, the Dodge Challenger will come out in March as a �08 model. The first batch of Challengers, about 5,500 units will all be SRT8s with automatic gearboxes priced at around $38,000. In July 2008, Dodge will begin production of the �09 models which will be offered with with three engine choices: 3.5L V6, 5.7L V8 and 6.1L V8 HEMIS.
